Who says you can’t have chocolate for breakfast?
I love anything thick and delicious that’s a ‘need a spoon consistency’ and this hits the spot. It’s packed full of good fats and will keep you full for longer, but best of all it tastes like desert – for breakfast!!
CHOCOLATE BREAKFAST MOUSSE
If you are only recently off the sweet stuff then you can add 1 tbs honey or rice malt syrup
¼ cup walnuts
1 small banana
3 tbsp full fat coconut milk
2 tbsp cacao powder
2 tsp flaxseed oil (optional)
fresh or frozen berries to serve
Put the walnuts, avocado, banana, coconut milk and flaxseed oil in a blender and process until smooth. You may need to stop the blender and stir with a spoon occasionally to ensure all ingredients get incorporated.
You can add any other topping like coconut flakes, bee pollen, cacao nibs etc
Add the cacao and blitz one more time until it’s all incorporated.
Place into glasses and pour fresh or thawed frozen berries on top.
